Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen (DESK) serves people who are experiencing homelessness or living in poverty by providing food assistance and services that promote health, community, and equity. We have a small staff of 6, that has been bulked up to 10 with agency partnerships and new programs but we work with hundreds of volunteers both in house and on the road. We usually serve an daily evening hot meal with a bagged lunch for the following day, as well as a weekly Pantry and a Summer Neighborhood Pantry. Currently we have reduced our services to To-Go Meals in the evening and a prepackaged series of Pantry bags but have also added deliveries of Pantry bags to those who can not or should not leave their homes.
